Introducing Paula Gonzalez, RP — Now Offering IFS Clinical Supervision

We’re proud to welcome Paula Gonzalez, Registered Psychotherapist, to the Ontario Supervision team. Paula (she/her) brings over a decade of experience in mental health, working with children, teens, adults, and families across both community and private settings. She is now offering IFS clinical supervision for therapists seeking to grow in confidence, clarity, and clinical depth.

If you're a Qualifying or Independent RP searching for CRPO clinical supervision that feels grounded, relational, and deeply attuned—Paula may be the right fit for you.

Meet Paula Gonzalez, RP

Paula is known for her calm presence, insightful questions, and commitment to supporting therapists in discovering and refining their authentic voice. As a clinical supervisor, she creates a space where your curiosity is valued, your struggles are normalized, and your strengths are clearly reflected back to you.

She offers supervision that is not only CRPO-compliant, but also deeply human.

Paula’s supervision is rooted in Internal Family Systems (IFS)—a fast-growing and respected therapeutic model that has become a cornerstone of contemporary, compassionate psychotherapy.

What Is IFS?

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a trauma-informed, non-pathologizing model of psychotherapy developed by Dr. Richard Schwartz. At its core, IFS understands that we are not a single, unified personality—but rather, a system of “parts,” each carrying its own feelings, beliefs, and roles.

Some parts are protective and proactive. Others carry vulnerability, shame, or fear. And at the center of it all is the Self—a core state of calm, compassion, curiosity, and clarity that can lead both the inner and outer healing process.

In therapy, IFS offers clients a profound opportunity to:

  • Understand inner conflicts without judgment

  • Build relationships with exiled or wounded parts

  • Reduce the intensity of inner critics or protectors

  • Increase self-leadership and integration

In supervision, IFS offers you—the therapist—a way to:

  • Reflect on your own parts and how they show up in session

  • Navigate countertransference and burnout with compassion

  • Develop more attuned, less reactive therapeutic presence

  • Confidently use IFS-informed strategies in your work with clients

Why Choose IFS Clinical Supervision with Paula?

Paula blends her extensive clinical experience with a deeply respectful and collaborative supervision style. She doesn’t impose a rigid model—instead, she supports you in integrating IFS into your existing approach in a way that feels authentic and clinically sound.

Whether you're currently enrolled in IFS training or are just curious about applying parts work more intentionally in your sessions, Paula’s supervision can meet you where you are.

She also understands the needs of therapists working toward registration with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and offers clear guidance on clinical documentation, ethical decision-making, and developing a sustainable, effective practice.
