What counts as direct client contact (DCC) for CRPO?

DCC is time when the client and therapist are directly and formally engaged in the psychotherapeutic process. A 45 or 50-minute session counts as one DCC hour. Activities that do not count include record-keeping, report writing, observation, and time spent giving or receiving supervision.

How long does CRPO take to review hours?

CRPO currently takes approximately 10 to 12 weeks from the date a request is submitted to process a request to update clinical experience hours. Requests cannot be expedited and are reviewed in the order received.

Can group supervision count toward my CRPO supervision hours?

Yes, but with limits. At least half of your supervision hours must be in individual or dyadic format. Group supervision must occur in a group of 8 or fewer supervisees to be accepted, and excess group hours beyond the allowed share simply stop counting toward the requirement.
